Wall soundproofing installation
Wall soundproofing is primarily aimed at reducing airborne noise – voices, music, television, and other sounds that pass between rooms or neighboring apartments.
In modern construction, standard walls often do not provide sufficient acoustic protection, especially in lightweight structures or plasterboard partition walls. This is why additional layers with mass and elasticity are applied to break the path of sound.
Most often, this includes:
- adding soundproofing membranes
- constructing multi-layered systems (plasterboard + insulation)
- decoupling the structure using elastic connections
A key factor is that the result does not depend solely on the material, but on the correct execution of the entire system – connections, details, and installation.
Under-screed soundproofing installation
Under-screed soundproofing is the primary method for controlling impact noise – footsteps, running, vibrations, and the movement of objects between floors.
It is implemented through a so-called floating floor, where an elastic layer is placed between the structural slab and the screed. This layer absorbs vibrations and prevents their direct transmission to the structure.
This solution is standard for:
- new construction
- residential and multi-story buildings
- hotels and public facilities
- spaces with increased load
In the event of improper installation, even high-quality material may fail to produce results.
Under-flooring soundproofing installation
Under-flooring soundproofing is a solution intended primarily for renovations or facilities with limited height, where a new screed cannot be applied.
It is placed directly under coverings such as:
- laminate
- parquet
- vinyl (LVT/SPC)
- wooden floors
It is important to understand that this solution does not reach the noise insulation levels achieved with a floating floor system; however, it is extremely effective when applied in the correct context and under suitable conditions. To provide real results, it must be tailored to both the type of flooring and the expected load in the room.
