CIMAR Asfalto a Freddo — Cold Asphalt

Description

CIMAR Asfalto a Freddo (cold asphalt) is a bituminous waterproofing paste on a water base, designed for universal use in the repair, protection and sealing of various construction surfaces. The product is easy to apply, ready to use, and after drying forms a dense black protective film with high water impermeability.

The material is suitable for repairing bituminous membranes and sheets with micro-cracks, as well as for waterproofing and protecting walls, roofs, tanks and containers that are not intended for drinking water. It can also be used as a vapour barrier layer in thermal insulation systems, as well as a moisture-resistant coating for external walls and masonry.

Thanks to its thixotropic consistency, the product can be easily applied with a brush, roller, spatula or airless spray gun. It is suitable for various substrates, provided that the surface is clean, dry and prepared for application. The product is ready to use and does not require dilution.

Application

The substrate must be clean, dry and stable. The product is applied directly onto the prepared surface using a brush, roller, spatula or airless spray gun. Consumption depends on the porosity and evenness of the substrate. Do not apply at temperatures below +10°C, in case of expected rain, dew, fog, or onto wet surfaces.
