Description

CIMAR MAT300 is a professional elastoplastic copolymer-based waterproofing system designed to protect difficult, uneven, damaged, or old substrates. The system was developed for projects where standard waterproofing products are often insufficient — flat roofs, old bitumen membranes, fiber cement panels, terraces, roof areas, and substrates without an ideal slope.

MAT300 consists of Fissativo, Resina, and the Potenzio Fibra reinforcement layer. This combination creates waterproofing with high mechanical resistance, excellent adhesion to various substrates, and exceptional flexibility at low temperatures — down to -40°C. The system can be applied even at temperatures as low as -5°C, making it suitable for work in unfavorable seasonal conditions.

Application

The substrate must be stable, clean, and prepared for application. The system involves bonding the Potenzio Fibra reinforcement layer to the substrate with Fissativo, followed by two coats of Resina until the required consumption is reached. If a different consistency is needed, the product can be diluted with the specific KSOL thinner from 5% to a maximum of 20%, according to the technical data sheet.

MAT300 can be used to restore old bitumen coatings and for re-waterproofing over existing tiles without removing them, provided the substrate allows for proper bonding and systemic execution.

Advantages

CIMAR MAT300 is a solution for projects where the substrate is not ideal but reliable and long-lasting waterproofing must be achieved. The system protects uneven and compromised surfaces without necessarily removing the existing layer.

One of the key advantages is the resistance to stagnant water. This allows application on flat surfaces that lack an ideal slope for rainwater drainage. The material does not lose its properties upon contact with water and is resistant to light rain and washout just 1 hour after application under suitable conditions.

The system is cold-applied, without the use of open flames or heat welding. This is a significant advantage for roof repairs, residential buildings, industrial sites, and sensitive areas where safety and speed of execution are critical.

Why MAT300 is suitable for difficult substrates

With old roofs, the problem is often not just moisture, but the combination of a cracked substrate, old bitumen membrane, irregularities, joints, seams, and areas with water retention. MAT300 works as a system, not just a single coating.

The Potenzio Fibra reinforcement layer stabilizes the substrate and helps distribute stresses, while Fissativo ensures bonding to the substrate, and Resina builds the final waterproofing layer. This results in a durable, elastic, and mechanically strong membrane suitable for restoring existing roof systems.

Applications

  • waterproofing of flat and pitched roofs;
  • restoration of old bitumen membranes;
  • waterproofing on fiber cement panels;
  • restoration of damaged and uneven substrates;
  • re-waterproofing over existing ceramic/tile flooring without removal;
  • roof surfaces with a risk of water retention;
  • substrates requiring high elasticity and mechanical resistance.
